Newgrange
& Knowth
Bru Na Boinne.
This Passage Grave pre- dates the great Pyramids
of Egypt and was built around 5,000 years ago. It is world famous
because it is one of the earliest man made structures in the world.

The
county Museum is situated in the centre of Dundalk and has a wealth
of information including Archeological and Industrial history.
Displays
are multi media and covers the evolution of the area from Mesolithic
period to the present day.

The nearby Town of Drogheda also contains a very interesting Museum

Mellifont Abbey

in 1142 for the Cistercian Order, this abbey is steeped in the history
of the area.

in the 6th century this site contains one of the most intricately
