In the northern part of Co. Louth approximatley 30 Mins drive from Dundalk there are the Cooley Mountains. Here you will find ideal Hill walking country.

There are many established walks frequented by Hill Walking Clubs from around the country. These walks are well mapped and the Tain walk is probably the most popular and well known.

You can also find your own trails among the gentle hills and valleys overlooking the sea.
